Research VP David Spawn and Laura Parke-Carson, VP of Leasing, share how they used data to secure an anchor lease that stimulated a center redevelopment and follow-on leasing.
David and his team created a demographic comparison of multiple sites that Kimberton Whole Foods was considering for their next location in a Philadelphia suburb. This data not only showed that Brixmor’s Collegeville Shopping Center best matched the grocer’s customer demographics, but also mirrored the demographic profile of the regional chain’s existing locations.
Convinced by the numbers, Kimberton Whole Foods signed a lease to anchor the center which is now the grocer’s most trafficked location. Plus, the anchor lease was a catalyst for a center redevelopment and 29,000 square feet of small shop leasing which created a center that better serves the Collegeville community.
Data is foundational to decision-making at Brixmor, and our Research team collaborates with Leasing, National Accounts, Property Management and Transactions to help execute our value-add business strategy.
