The Davis Collection

The Davis Collection marks a major transformation in the heart of Davis, CA, just west of Sacramento and steps from the UC Davis campus and home to more than 52,000 students and faculty. Formerly known as University Mall, the center was completely reimagined through an extensive redevelopment, reconfiguration, and rebranding effort executed in close collaboration with the City of Davis.

The project included the demolition of approximately 92,000 Sq. Ft. to accommodate the construction of a new 25,000 square foot Nordstrom Rack, a 17,000 square foot PetSmart, a 10,000 square foot ULTA Beauty, and approximately 20,000 square feet of additional retail space organized around a vibrant outdoor community courtyard. 

The redeveloped center now features over 100,000 Sq. Ft. of retail and dining, anchored by a refreshed Trader Joe’s with first to market and experiential tenants including J.Crew Factory, Mendocino Farms, The Melt, Urban Plates and Calicraft Brewery.

Additional enhancements included the construction of two multi tenant outparcel buildings, a new pedestrian plaza, walkways, upgraded parking, landscaping and signage improvements.

Together, these upgrades have repositioned The Davis Collection as a modern, walkable destination that serves as a dynamic gathering place for the Davis community while delivering a compelling merchandising mix tailored to the local market.
